Welcome to Clayfield Aquatics

Welcome to the Home of Clayfield Aquatics Swim Club. Clayfield Aquatics is a community based swimming club located at Clayfield College in Brisbane’s northern suburb of Clayfield.
The club offers a comprehensive swim program that caters from Stroke Development through to State and National squads.

Swim programs are supplemented by comprehensive Strength and Conditioning and flexiblity/Injury prevention programs designed for each individual swimmer.
The club offers an 8 lane 25 metre pool at Clayfield College.
Clayfield Aquatics also has a strong affiliation with Centenary Pool where we utilise the 50m pool for long course training of our State and National swimmers.

Clayfield Aquatics are affiliated with Swimming Queensland and Brisbane Swimming offering club members the ability to compete at all registered swim meets.

Children are encouraged to have fun, and to focus on their own performance rather than on “who won”.  The philosophy of Clayfield Aquatics is to provide a positive learning environment where swimmers are encouraged to achieve personal success from a Club Night level through to National Championships.
During Term 4 and term 1, the Clayfield Aquatics offers fortnightly Club Nights for junior swimmers culminating in Club Championships in March each year.

Parental support and participation in all aspects of the club is encouraged. This can either be by way of involvement in the committee or by assisting on club nights with various duties such as timekeeping, marshalling or canteen assistance.

CLAYFIELD AQUATICS & BLUEFIT CENTENARY ANNOUNCEMENT

Clayfield Aquatics is excited to announce that an agreement between the club and BlueFit Leisure has been arranged to expand our long-course training capacity for the 2011-2012 season.

Commencing the 11th July Clayfield Aquatics National Squad will be using the Centenary Pool, Spring Hill 5 sessions per week. Centenary is one of the most historical pools in Brisbane and remains an excellent training facility featuring an outdoor, heated 50m pool as well as diving pool and other services available to the public such as gym and health club.

The relationship is evidence of Clayfield Aquatics’ commitment to expanding our club in two important aspects. Firstly to provide our top, national level swimmers with a suitable, long course training venue for half their sessions per week. And secondly to allow for the expansion of our Junior Squad Program by freeing space at our home pool, Clayfield College, which would have been otherwise taken by our older swimmers.
